About
I am a violinist who teaches violin and viola in North-central Texas. My students have been as young as three and as old as eighty-three. I have taught public school orchestra from 2nd through 12th grades. I also taught after school programs for fiddling and mariachi. Additionally, I have been teaching private lessons for more than 20 years.
I teach Suzuki (Classical), American Fiddling, and Gypsy styles of music. My students are encouraged to play a variety of styles of music to enrich their lives and that of their families.
Previous professional engagements include the Orchestra of Southern Utah, SouthWest Symphony in Utah, Cheektowaga Symphony in New York, and subbed in other professional and private groups.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUU. Masters course work at NAU. Continuing Suzuki specialized training by instrument ongoing.
Teaching Philosophy: Anyone can learn to play beautiful music! This is done through promoting effective practice and performance techniques with quality examples and encouragement.
