A: A String Drive is a special event for you to try out all four instruments to see which one will be the best fit for you!

Come to the String Drive to try out our four string instrument options: Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass. Once you pick your favorite, you'll be able to select and reserve your instrument. Even if you already think you know what instrument you want to play you should still come! Plus, it's a great opportunity to meet future and current students, and ask the director, Mrs. Wang, any questions you may have. You can even get sized and order your instrument/supplies directly from the vendors! If you can't make any of the events, make an individual appointment by emailing Mrs. Wang at wangm@lisd.net. Q: I already know what instrument I want to play! Do I still need to come?
A: The short answer is yes! Playing an instrument is a commitment, and we want to make sure that you are going to be happy and successful on this instrument. Additionally, I want a chance to meet you! Lastly, you may not get your first-choice instrument if you do not come to select and reserve your desired instrument.
Q: I am not a beginner string player, and I’m interested in trying out for a more advanced orchestra! Do I still need to come?
A: Please send me an email at wangm@lisd.net to receive an audition packet in April, and schedule an appointment for an audition in May.
Q: I am not sure if I want to join orchestra yet. Should I still come?
A: Yes! This is an opportunity to try out all the instruments and see which one you like the best.
Q: I am unable to make this date! Is there an alternative time?
A: We may add additional dates depending on need. Email me at wangm@lisd.net if you are unable to make this date.
